Prickly Pear provides male skin solutions

Male skincare is one of the fastest growth areas; with this in mind, experts Dr Renaud have introduced their first male-orientated product range.

The three essential products within the Prickly Pear collection focus on providing solutions for male skin and the challenges faced such as irritation from regular shaving.

The Prickly Pear collection comprises:

• Dr Renaud Prickly Pear Cleansing & Exfoliating Gel, which gently unclogs skin and acts on the production of sebum. It contains Prickly Pear Seed Powder to exfoliate the skin in preparation for shaving.
• Dr Renaud Prickly Pear Anti-Aging Hydrating Balm is recommended post shave and serves to hydrate and soothe skin thanks to Hyaluronic Acid, Prickly Pear Cactus Extract and Organic Oat Extract which has an instant tightening effect.
• Dr Renaud Prickly Pear Hydrating Mattifying Cream-Gel is a delightful powdery cream-gel texture with a subtle fragrance of prickly pear. Amongst the key ingredients is Hyaluronic Acid to moisturise skin deeply whilst Black Mushroom Extract contains mattifying properties to reduce shine and tighten pores.

At the heart of the range is Barbariane Complex, which provides a specific solution for male skin which may often be weakened by external aggressions such as stress and shaving. Barbariane Complex consists of three extracts of Prickly Pear, most commonly found in the deserts of The Americas, which work in combination to soothe the skin barrier, moisturise, protect and stimulate skin cell renewal. Organic Prickly Pear Oil Extract contains Omega 6 and vitamin E to increase the skin's water content whilst deeply hydrating; Prickly Pear Cactus Extract provides a soothing action to reduce redness and is also rich in vitamins and flavonoids, whilst Prickly Pear Flower Extract, rich in Nopal Oligosaccharides, stimulates skin cell renewal, helps to reduce fine lines, and clarifies skin leaving it more luminous.
