Ushvani spa ritual honours Chinese New Year
Gong Xi Fa Cai! As the Chinese Year of the Pig begins, Knightsbridge spa
Ushvani is celebrating the New Year with the launch of a new Jade Stone Ritual.
The Year of the Pig is said to be synonymous with prosperity and good health, also the attributes of Jade. In addition, Jade is used in Chinese medicine to ease a number of health issues including easing muscle tension and stimulating the lymphatic system. Jade is also said to increase the flow of Chi life force energy, which Chinese medicine believes promotes positivity.
Ushvani's new treatment ritual, which lasts 120 minutes, has been created to bring the therapeutic Earth elements together with the spa's highly popular Balinese Massage. Warm Jade stones are applied onto the skin to increase the benefits of massage therapy, releasing deep-seated tension. Cool Jade stones are used in a soothing facial and scalp massage. A warm Coconut and Kemiri Body Mask is also included, and the ritual concludes with a traditional Malay Mandi shower.
Ushvani's Jade Stone Ritual is available at the spa until 30th March.
