Ambassadors celebrate bareMinerals' charity fund
Mineral makeup and clean beauty brand, bareMinerals has unveiled its Power of Good Fund, an initiative that will champion women's entrepreneurialism, education and mentorship.
The Power of Good Fund by bareMinerals will see the company donate 1% of sales from bareMinerals boutiques and online to charities, in addition to dedicating 1% of employees' time to volunteering. This could see every employee donate three days of their time to charity every year.
To celebrate the launch, the brand hosted The Power of Good Global Wellness Retreat at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire. The event drew big names including bareMinerals Beauty Ambassador Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and bareMinerals Clean Beauty Ambassador Hailey Baldwin, in addition to bareMinerals Global Makeup Artist, Nikki DeRoest, CEO of Shiseido Americas and Shiseido Group Chief Growth Officer, Marc Rey, bareMinerals President Jill Scalamandre, and (Founder, Joint Chairman and Trustee for Access Inspiration Jenny Halpern Prince.
During the two-day Retreat, attendees met and mentored young women from London-based charity, Access Aspiration, which provides 16-24 year olds with new skills and career networks. bareMinerals made a donation to the charity, whilst Nikki DeRoest held a clean beauty masterclass.
Commenting on the initiative, Jill Scalamandre, President of bareMinerals says:
“As a mother, business woman, and advocate for change, it was incredibly important that we establish a fund that allows young women to unleash their potential and realize their dreams. By establishing the Power of Good Fund by bareMinerals we hope to change the futures, and lives, of thousands of women across North America to start, with the aim to take this initiative global in 2020.”
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley adds:
"The Power of Good campaign not only values products that make a difference, but also shows how feeling good and doing good can impact people around you.”
The Power of Good Fund by bareMinerals will commence in earnest in January 2019.
