Taunton salon fundraises for Hair & Beauty Charity

Bcreative Hair salon in Taunton, Somerset, has recently raised £200 for The Hair & Beauty Charity, as well as opening several times a year to homeless people, providing them with sleeping bags, toiletries and food as well haircuts.

Bcreative Hair salon owner and hairdresser, Emma Holt and her salon team, raised the money for The Hair & Beauty Charity by selling sweets to her customers and allowing them to place their painted handprint on the salon wall. She explains:

“After attending the charity ball, my colleagues and I thought our industry charity was a worthy cause and we wanted to support and fundraise for them. I believe when you can give back, you should always do so; you never know when you may need help yourself.

“As a salon, our goal is to make a difference to people's lives not just by creating beautiful hair, but by creating smiles too. My amazing team and I aren't just hairdressers to our clients, we provide advice, give confidence, kindness and supply them with tea, coffee and biscuits! In return my clients support our salon and the charities we help.”

“Emma's fundraising efforts have been wonderful; we are so grateful for her enthusiasm and support of the charity. We hope that others can see Emma's fundraising efforts and be inspired to do something similar within their salons too.”

The Hair & Beauty Charity, previously known as The Hairdressers Charity, was established in 1853, and offers financial support to hair and beauty professionals in need due to illness, bereavement and financial hardship.
