Scottish salons given green light to reopen
Beauty, hair and barber businesses in Scotland forced to close under Level 4 Protection Levels in the country's Covid-19 Strategic Framework, will be able to reopen from Friday.
The announcement was made by Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, as those regions previously placed under Level 4 will move to Level 3 from Friday 11th December at 6pm. Beauty and hair businesses operating in all levels of Scotland's restrictions must do so in line with the government's close contact services guidelines.
The move to Level 3 applies to the following Scottish regions:
- City of Glasgow
- Renfrewshire
- East Renfrewshire
- East Dunbartonshire
- West Dunbartonshire
- North Lanarkshire
- South Lanarkshire
- East Ayrshire
- South Ayrshire
- Stirling
- West Lothian
Businesses unsure about whether they can open and under what restrictions, should contact their Local Authority and always follow government guidance.
