Salon software increases bookings by 50%, data shows
Beauty and hair businesses that use software to schedule appointments have seen an average 50% increase in year-on-year bookings, with 45% of all UK bookings delivering repeat custom.
Data released by Square Appointments, who themselves have seen a 44% increase in usage of their own booking system, shows that 39% of appointments are booked overnight when salons are closed, enabling businesses to attract clients 24/7.
Retailing in salons has also benefitted with Square reporting a 42% increase in the number of UK Beauty and Personal Care (B&PC) merchants selling products online.
Commenting on the data, Jaime King, UK Square Appointments Lead, says:
“The UK's Beauty and Personal Care sector has shown incredible resilience over the last two years. There will be new challenges for businesses to face this year with navigating a potential recession and the cost-of-living crisis. It's important for beauty businesses to employ tools that work harder for them - adding efficiencies in booking and team management, to minimise admin and put more time back in their hands.”
