Purepotions supports Beauty Banks initiative
Natural skincare company
Purepotions are supporting the work of
Beauty Banks, an initiative which provides toiletries to those living in poverty.
The Brighton-based company have donated two boxes of Skin Salvation Intensive Moisturising Ointment, a natural emollient formulated for those with sensitive or eczema-prone skin. Although Skin Salvation is available by prescription for some users, this is not universal therefore putting this all-purpose traditional ointment out of the reach of many who need it most.
Natalie Balmond, Purepotions founder, developed the product initially to treat her daughter's chronic eczema. Natalie comments:
“Here at Purepotions, we're aware how difficult it can be to manage chronic skin conditions at the best of times, even with the help of prescribed creams; if you add the stress of severe poverty and precarious living situations, then it can be so much harder.
“We're hoping that these jars of Skin Salvation will help those who need it most but couldn't otherwise afford natural skin care, products that are free from the synthetic perfumes and preservatives that can cause irritation and flare-ups. Even for those without eczema, one pot of Skin Salvation can be used for all kinds of skin issues.”
