Last night (7th August 2018), nail brand OPI unveiled their AW19 collection of nail colours, themed around the landscapes, people and colour of Peru.
Inspired by stunning geological sites such as Rainbow Mountain and the Incan ruins of Machu Piccu, the Peru Collection by OPI is fronted by Peruvian fashion model Juana Burga, who joined OPI in travelling across Peru to see its landscapes, architecture and history, and meet the people of this South American country.
The AW19 collection features 12 new shades, available in OPI's three colour systems: OPI Nail Lacquer, OPI Infinite Shine and OPI GelColor. Colours reflect Peru's sandy landscapes whilst fitting well with AW19 colour trends. Colours include:

Commenting on the Peru by OPI Collection, OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann says:
“Peru is undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous places in the world. The country is rich in culture and beauty…With Juana [Burga], we met with artisans from the Peruvian highlands, where we learned so much about the country's iconic handmade, sustainable fashion and textiles created using techniques that have been passed down for hundreds of years. These women and their craft inspired many of the collection's colours. In exchange, we shared with them our own love of colour through nail lacquer ."
Suzi adds:
"Colour is truly a universal language, serving as a visual cue that connects us with our environment and emotions. As simple as it is, sharing a laugh over manicures, picking out favourite colours and showing off our perfectly polished nails was an empowering experience that connected us across cultures.”
