Murad introduce Retinal serum to treat advanced ageing
Cosmeceutical skincare brand Murad has revealed a new overnight serum formulated with Retinal, an alternative to Retinol.
Murad Retinal ReSculpt™ Overnight Treatment is clinically proven to tackled advanced signs of ageing on the face and neck with 2.5x better efficacy (vs. free Retinal). After two weeks' use, sagging skin on the neck/jowl is lifted and crepey skin and deep set wrinkles are smoothed; in four weeks skin elasticity is increased.
Retinal is one of the most efficacious forms of vitamin A and delivered to the skin in this new serum through an encapsulated delivery system using technology adapted from pharmaceutical applications.
Also known as retinaldehyde, Retinal is just one step removed from Retinoic acid. It is more effective at treating aged skin than Retinol as it does not need to be converted into retinaldehyde and then to Retinoic acid, so it can get to work faster on skin damaged by the sun, blue light and infra red. Retinol, which Murad utilise in their Retinol Youth Renewal Serum, is more effectively used on mild to moderately aged skin than Retinal.
