Moroccanoil extend sustainability credentials
Skin and haircare brand, Moroccanoil, has partnered with Oceana, the largest international advocacy organisation focused solely on ocean conservation.
Through Moroccanoil's support, Oceana will continue to advance its science-based, policy campaigns that help to protect and restore our oceans to their former levels of abundance.
Oceana is an international organisation that focusses solely on oceans, dedicated to achieving measurable change by conducting specific, science-based policy campaigns. Through its work, Oceana has protected nearly 4 million square miles of ocean.
As a brand, Moroccanoil is committed to continuously improving practices, working to reduce its environmental impact and contribute to the creation of a more sustainable future. This includes continuing to rethink the brand's packaging, products and operations.
From July 2022,
Moroccanoil will transition to the use of 50% post-consumer recycled plastic all shampoo and conditioner bottles. Combined with the post-consumer recycled plastic already used in the packaging for other Moroccanoil products, this will reduce the consumption of virgin plastic across the brand by more than 500 tons over the next five years.
