Industry names share recipes to raise charity funds
The Hair & Beauty Charity have launched a new cookbook packed full of recipes from some of our industry's most well-known faces.
Available in E-book format, the Hair & Beauty Charity Cookbook aims to raise much needed funds for the charity which supports hair and beauty professionals who have been affected by illness, disability, bereavement, homelessness, domestic violence, or financial hardship. Due to COVID-19, the charity has seen an increase of over 227% for requests for financial support in the past year alone.
Forty-seven big names in beauty and hairdressing have contributed their favourite recipes, including nail experts Lucy Sharman, Jaz Moger, Rebecca Crawforth and Marian Newman, make-up artists Daniel Sandler, Adeola Gboyega and Ruby Hammer MBE, Hairdressers Errol Douglas MBE, Andrew Barton and Sally Brooks, Facialist Nichola Joss, Tanning expert James Read, and Barbers Leah Hayden Cassidy, Alan Beak and Joe Mills, amongst others.
Commenting on the launch of the E-cookbook,
Hair & Beauty Charity President Samantha Grocutt, says:
“This e-cookbook was borne from an idea during the 3rd lockdown. Renowned hairdresser, Errol Douglas MBE posted an old image of a cookbook we created over 10 years ago and it got me thinking how much fun it would be to do it again. You won't find any sourdough or banana breads that the first lockdown was known for, but there's 50 recipes from easy to difficult to recreate. As a non-cook myself, I'm eager to try out a few of them and can't thank the guest experts enough for donating their time, cooking, and photography skills for this great campaign.”
The Hair & Beauty Charity Cookbook can be downloaded for a minimum donation of £9.99
online.
