Hair & barbers in Wales to reopen from Monday
Hairdressers and barbershops in Wales may reopen from Monday 15th March, as COVID-19 regulations across the country change.
Beauty salons, spas and other close contact service locations must remain closed for now, but may reopen from 12th April, the same date as in England, should the public health position remain favourable with a review taking place on 1st April.
The announcement was made today (12th March) by Wales' First Minister Mark Drakeford.
Hair salons and barbershops reopening from Monday must operate on an appointment-only basis, and only to cut hair. They must maintain the COVID-19 health and safety guidelines in place prior to this latest lockdown period.
Hair and beauty salons, barbershops and spas have been closed since Alert Level 4 restrictions came in effect on 24th December 2020.
If you are unsure about when your business may reopen and health and safety requirements, please contact your Local Authority for clarification.
