Dermalogica continues skin cancer training support

To mark Skin Awareness Month, professional skincare brand Dermalogica is working in partnership with skin cancer charity SKCIN to educate about skin cancer awareness and sun safety.

In addition, the 20/20 Campaign will see 20% of all Dermalogica SPF product purchases on dermalogica.co.uk made in the first 20 days of May donated to the charity.

Since 2018, SKCIN have been delivering their ABT Accredited ‘MASCED' (Melanoma and Skin Cancer Early Detection) courses, designed to train professionals in how to spot the early signs and symptoms of skin cancer. To date, the charity has trained over 10,000 professionals with endorsements, awards and recognition from many industry organisations.

To support the charity in 2022, Dermalogica is continuing to provide funding for Skin Therapist employees in the UK and Ireland to undertake MASCED training, as well as offer funding for the course to their salon partners and skin therapists. In addition, the brand will be supporting educational campaigns and activities in collaboration with SKCIN throughout the year.

Commenting on their partnership with SKCIN, Candice Gardner, Education Manager for Dermalogica says:

“We are passionate about skills-led education programmes and the MASCED training is incredibly valuable for professionals who are perfectly placed to detect the signs of skin cancer and refer clients for potentially life-saving diagnosis. We are thrilled to be able to continue supporting SKCIN and the excellent work they do.”
