Consumers' post-lockdown hair trends revealed
As salons being to rebuild post-lockdown, a survey of over 2,000 female consumers has shown that 63% feel that their hair salon appointment is more important than their other beauty treatment investments.
Carried out by professional hair care brand Fudge Professional, the survey also revealed that 25% said they missed their hairdresser more than the pub, and 22% stated they missed them more than going to the gym. Five per cent even admitted that they missed their regular hair appointment more than their partner!
Following lockdown and compared to pre-pandemic, over a quarter of respondents stated that they are more likely to have a hair/colour transformation, with almost a fifth indicated that they are more likely to go blonde with 15% wanting to create a more youthful appearance.
The Fudge Professional Lockdown Hair Survey also showed that 3 out of 10 women stated that the regrowth of their roots and the appearance of grey hair had made them feel less confident, although 11% said that this regrowth of root/appearance of grey made them feel more confident and almost half stated that the regrowth and any grey coming through had no effect on their confidence at all.
