Color Wow launch collagen-boosting scalp serum
Color Wow has launched Youth Juice, a treatment that imparts the benefits of collagen into the scalp to help keep hair youthfully thick, strong and supple.
The serum promotes the levels of collagen in the scalp skin, and by keeping the scalp in optimum condition, hair can grow thicker.
Dr Joe Cincotta, Color Wow's chemist, explains:
“Our extensive research confirms the direct correlation between diminished scalp collagen and diminished quality of the hair strands being produced in the hair follicles. As scalp collagen degrades (from chronological ageing or free radical damage) hair follicles shrink and become rigid, and the strands being produced become finer, brittle, less supple and resilient. Also, the follicles' grasp on strands is weakened, leading to increased shedding and hair thinning.”
In 30 days, participants in a clinical trial reported their scalp felt healthier (90%), their hair felt more resilient (90%) and their scalp was more hydrated (93%). In addition, 87% noted their hair felt stronger, 87% said their scalp was less irritated and 80% reported that hair felt thicker.
Color Wow Youth Juice should be applied to clean damp or dry hair daily for a minimum of 30 days (recommended usage is 90 days), massaged directly onto the scalp along the hairline and natural parting.
