Charity bike ride raises funds for industry's needy

Over £7,200 has been raised for the Hair & Beauty Charity by a team of cyclists pedalling through the valley of Lake Garda in Italy.

Fourteen riders from a range of hair beauty and hair companies took part in the annual charity bike ride, which returned for the first time since 2019.

The top three fundraisers included Arianna Botti of L'Oreal Professional Products Division, Mariya Tsvetkova of Hair by Mariya, and Julie and Andrew Mercer of Julie Mercer Beauty Therapy. Other riders included Brian Thomson of Leslie Hairdressing, Anne Veck of Anne Veck Salon, Jeff Goodwin of Jeff Goodwin Hair, Andy Mercer of HB Collective and Great Lengths Hair Extensions, Victor Pajak of Headquarters, and Kate Preston and Ian Chisham of Kate Preston Salons.

The event was organised by Victor Pajak of Headquarters for the fifth time. He commented: 

“A massive thank you to everyone who took part in this year's Hair & Beauty Charity Bike Ride and to everyone who supported them on their fundraising journey. It was a tough ride at times and I'm so proud of every rider who took part, and that we raised over £7,000 that will help the charity continue doing the great work that they do, and supporting people in our industry when they need it most.”
