Andrew Barton partners with Wakefield College
Wakefield College has been announced as Andrew Barton London Education's (ABLE) latest educational partner, supporting young stylists and tackling skills shortages.
Launching tonight (20th October) at Wakefield College's Open Event, Andrew Barton and ABLE general manager, Sarah Seaman, will meet prospective students and their families to discuss opportunities and benefits offered by a career in hairdressing.
Lecturers will use the ABLE programme to enhance the learning curriculum for students, in line with the advanced and creative hair professional apprentice standards and the new T Levels.
Through the partnership, Wakefield College will be able to access a variety of unique training tools including bi-monthly video tutorials linked to the standards and qualifications at Level 2 and 3 learning with the added benefit of Andrew Barton's industry experience.
Staff will also be supported with CPD, visits by Andrew to the college and an aspirational awards day for ABLE students and lecturers.
Commenting on the partnership, Andrew Barton says:
“I'm so excited for the partnership between
ABLE and the Wakefield College sites - it will not only inspire a new generation of hair professionals but also provide them with the skills and knowledge to become successful in whatever area of this fantastic industry they choose for their future.
“The main objective of ABLE is to bridge the gap between the salon and further education. Ensuring that exacting standards inspire a new generation of hairdressers and prepare them as they begin their journey in the salon. ABLE ensure that trainee stylists are employable and ready to tackle the exciting challenges of salon life.”
