Nail Art Step by Step: Tortoise Shell nails

Animal print never goes out of style, so Salon System nail expert Jaz Moger has created a Tortoise Shell Nails step by step using the Gellux collection.

Step One

Prepare the nails by filing to shape, pushing back the cuticle, and buffing the nail plate.

Cleanse nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe and apply Gellux Fast Bond.

Apply a coat of Gellux Light Pink Builder Gel and cure.

Step Two

Paint one coat of Gellux We Rise By Lifting Others and cure for 30 seconds.

Step Three

Next, paint a light coat of Gellux Invite Only and cure for 30 seconds.

Step Four

Mix a small amount of Gellux Black Onyx, with some Gellux Clear Base/Top coat and paint a few random strokes across each nail and then cure for 30 seconds. 

Step Five

Paint a coat of Gellux Clear Base/Top and randomly dab in some dark patches of Gellux Black Onyx to add depth and cure for 30 seconds.

Step Six 

Finally, finish with a final coat of Gellux Clear Base/Top. Once cured, wipe over the nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe and oil the cuticles.
