With a hint of spring in the air, Salon System nail expert Caroline Roberts, owner of Nail Fairy in Shropshire, shows us her pretty floral nails that are simple for you to recreate. Treat your clients to a single accent nail or go full flourish as a Mothering Sunday treat. Caroline has created this look using Salon System’s Gellux products.
Step #1
Prep the nails and push back the cuticles. Shape and buff the natural nail bed with a grey and yellow buffer.
Dust and wipe the nails with Gellux Prep and Wipe and then apply a thin layer of Gellux Fast Bond.
Step #2
Using a dotting tool, place a dot on each nail applying different shades of Gellux. For the thumb, apply Gellux Mini Berry Burst, on the index apply Gellux Mini Flirty Fuchsia.
Use Gellux Mini Dusty Lilac for the middle finger, then for the ring finger, apply again Gellux Mini Berry Burst and lastly, for the pinky use Gellux Mini Flirty Fuchsia.
Afterwards, slightly drag the dots to create a little tail.
Cure for 60 seconds.
Step #3
Using the same colours for each of the fingers, use a thin liner art brush to create squiggles in a staggered circle to create that rose look.
Cure the nails for 60 seconds.
Step #4
Repeat the above steps on each finger but using the colours in a different order.
For the thumb, apply Gellux Mini Flirty Fuchsia, on the index finger, apply Gellux Mini Dusty Lilac, for the middle finger, apply Gellux Mini Berry Burst, then, apply Gellux Mini Flirty Fuchsia on the ring finger and lastly, apply Gellux Mini Dusty Lilac on the pinky.
