Nail Art Step by Step: Hopping Easter Bunnies

We love any excuse for nail art, and with Easter approaching there's nothing more suited than spring colours and uber-cute bunnies! Follow this step by step by Salon System nail expert Julie-Anne Larivière, who used Gellux gel polishes, that we're sure will get your clients hopping back for more!

Step 1: Prepare the nails. File to shape and push back cuticles and buff nail plate. Cleanse nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe. Apply Gellux Fast Bond. Apply Gellux Cover Pink Base Coat to the nails and cure.

Step 2: Using Gellux Aloha Honolulu apply the first thin coat to the index and ring fingers and use the Gellux I Sea You to the middle finger and little finger then cure. Repeat this step and cure.

Step 3: With a medium liner brush slightly flattened, create three wide vertical stripes on the ring finger using Gellux I Sea You and Aloha Honolulu for the ring finger and little finger making sure you apply very thinly, then cure.

Step 4: Repeat the previous step, but this time creating three horizontal stripes instead, then cure.

Step 5: Using a very fine liner brush dipped in Gellux Purely White, create a cross on the ring and little fingers, then cure.

Step 6: Using a fine detail brush or fine liner brush dipped in Gellux Purely White, create little bunnies on the middle finger, then cure.

Step 7: Dip a detail brush into Gellux I Sea You and create the bunny silhouette on the index finger, and cure.

Step 8: Then dip a fine detail brush or fine liner brush into Gellux Purely White and add the details to finish the bunny, and cure.

Step 9: Apply Gellux Matte Base/Top Coat to the little finger and ring fingers and Gellux Shiny Top Coat to the middle and index fingers, and cure.

Step 10: To finish wipe nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe and apply Gellux Nail & Cuticle Oil.
