Adding hydration from inside & out
Skin care experts Murad’s new Hydro-Glow collection has been designed with an internal and external approach to boosting the skin’s cellular hydration.
Maintaining and boosting skin hydration is particularly important during autumn and winter months, as skin not only battles drying cold temperatures but also moisture-grabbing central heating.
The dual approach includes Hydro-Glow Food Supplements to hydrate skin from within, whilst the Hydro-Glow Aqua Peel works on the skin’s outer layer to reveal radiance, and infuse a rush of hydration.
The two-step peel system gives skin a gentle peel with anti-ageing benefits by intensely infusing hydration to visibly minimise fine lines and wrinkles, and re-texturise and brighten skin. Skin is first exfoliated with glycolic and lactic acids using a pre-soaked Retexturising Swab, originally used in Dr Murad’s medical practice, to reveal smoother and brighter skin. This is followed by the application of the Moisture Infusion Mask to deliver hyaluronic acid to the skin, to help visibly minimise lines and wrinkles, and lock in moisture. Aloe Extract and Vitamin B3 soothe and nourish skin.
The system’s Hydro-Glow Food Supplements are based on Dr. Murad’s Cellular Water Principle, and are designed to hydrate skin from within by boosting cellular hydration levels, revealing smoother, firmer skin with minimised lines. Glucosamine creates a reservoir of moisture in cells and helps boost natural hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin to support increased skin hydration and improved skin texture, whilst Taurine, an antioxidant amino acid, and Trimethylglycine, a key body osmolyte, help cells maintain optimal levels of intracellular water.
During trials, 85% of those using the system saw more healthy-looking skin, 82% saw more radiant skin, and 79% saw smoother, firmer skin.
