ishga partners enjoy annual Glasgow conference

Scottish skincare brand ishga held its annual conference recently at the Kimpton Blythswood Hotel in Glasgow, bringing together the brand's leading spa partners for a one-day event of networking, new product launches and education. 

Delegates heard an insight into the research and development work taking place at ishga's HQ from Malcolm Macrae, Co-Founder and Director of ishga and Sophia Mackay, Research & Development Project Manager. This work is examining the benefits of seaweed in skincare and is also looking at a range of additional protective benefits that seaweed extracts can offer when delivered in organic skincare products. The team is working in partnership with Atlantic Technological University in Sligo with results of the research set to be released later this year.

Head of Marketing Cara Hosie reported on the marketing strategy for the past year and offered a first look at NPD for 2022, whilst Mark Smith Media presented an overview of the brand's success in the consumer press.

Other conference highlights included a presentation by international DJ and music psychology specialist Brian d'Souza on ishga's partnership with Swell, a sound wellness business, and attendees experienced an engaging talk on retailing by Spa Consultant Jacqueline Ross.
