The Wig Fix™, a silicone headband that secures a wig while protecting the scalp and promoting natural hair growth, is now available to UK salon groups and professional stylists to purchase directly.

Created by Aasiyah Abdulsalam, who was looking for a non-itchy way to secure her wig during hot weather which would combat stress and damage on the hairline caused by wig wearing, The Wig Fix™ has become a popular product amongst famous faces including Kylie Jenner's hairstylist, Tokyo Stylez.

The Wig Fix™ works on all full glue-less wigs, including full-lace and wefted. It X-Ray transparent to suit all skin tones but can also easily be tinted to preference, and is universal in size. 

Aasiyah Abdulsalam, Founder of The Wig Fix™, explains says: “We are creating, bonding and attaching our wigs the same way Ancient Egyptians did 3,000 years ago. Current methods of attachment are harmful (causing issues such as skin infections, tension headaches and traction alopecia) time consuming, unrealistic and expensive. Customers are wasting time, money and are dangerously impacting their health using the current adhesives available for the hair extension/beauty market, such as sticky glues/gels and ineffective clips and combs, elastic bands and grips.”

When worn, The Wig Fix™ is completely hidden by the wig, and its 100% hypoallergenic silicone is water repellent and heat dissipating, so sweat and moisture will not affect its gripping qualities. When the product is compressed onto the scalp, it creates a micro-climate between the skin and the silicone. This closed, healing environment allows for the moisture from the skin to draw up the surface layer, creating a protective barrier for the scalp and existing hair. Its unique silicone design uses gentle and comfortable compression against the scalp, automatically activated when worn. This causes blood flow to increase, encouraging thicker, natural hair growth over time.
