Sustainable skincare with Bolt's compostable drops

We're all encouraged to use less packaging, avoid single use plastics and choose products with a more sustainable ethos. With this in mind, Bolt Beauty have packaged their travel-friendly skincare products in sustainable seaweed capsules. 

Bolt Drops come in four varieties, treating a range of skincare concerns: Mad about Moisture moisturising lotion, Filthy Clean everyday cleansing gel, Vitamin A Game retinol serum, and Glow Don't Shine mattifying serum. Each drop is biodegradable and formulated using scientifically proven ingredients including Hyaluronic acid and Retinol.

They are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, meaning they are cruelty-free and vegan.

About blueberry-sized, each capsule is made from Carrageenan, one the world's most sustainable seaweed crops, which requires no fresh water, land or fertilizers to grow. Harvesting the seaweed also provides valuable income for coastal communities in countries such as the Philippines, Tanzania and Indonesia. These farms also boost coastal biodiversity by creating mini ecosystems for small marine life.

Once used, each capsule can be home composted or even dissolved in boiling water.
