Brush brand donates to combat deforestation
Hair brush and beauty tool brand, So Eco, has announced it has planted over 38,300 trees in partnership with Tree Nation as part of its responsible and ethical practices.
Since 2018, the brand has been planting a tree for every 100 products sold, off-setting 1374.14 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Not only does So Eco's partnership with Tree Nation offset CO2 but it also helps to combat deforestation and encourage bio-diversity in areas greatly affected by logging; most recently, Mangrove trees have been planted as part of the Eden Projects in Madagascar.
So Eco's hairbrush range is manufactured from compostable and bio-degradable plant derived materials including PLA (Polylactic Acid) derived from fermented Corn Starch and biodegradable material. In addition, the So Eco rubber brush head is made from biodegradable natural rubber from coagulated latex from the Rubber tree, whilst So Eco hair brush bristles are made from recyclable nylon.
