Ronan Perceval, Phorest's CEO and founder.
Phorest has announced that it is now a Certified B Corporation, marking a significant sustainability and accountability milestone for the salon, spa and clinic technology provider.
B Corps are companies verified as meeting B Lab standards for social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. With the certification, Phorest joins a global community of businesses working towards a more inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy.
The salon management software company, founded in Dublin by CEO Ronan Perceval, works with more than 12,000 customers globally and supports salons, spas and clinics with tools to manage, market and grow their businesses, alongside mentoring and education.
To achieve B Corp Certification, Phorest completed the B Impact Assessment, a rigorous evaluation by B Lab across Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. The business achieved an impact score of 89.
The company highlighted several areas of impact, including workforce representation, community work and environmental initiatives. Phorest says 50% of its management team are women and that its mean gender pay gap is 4%. Through its Phorest Forest initiative, the company planted 800 trees in 2024 and has purchased 15 acres of forestry in Co. Longford, Ireland. In 2025, Phorest also made six-figure charitable donations to more than 20 organisations, with its team completing 712 hours of paid volunteer work.
Phorest has also embedded stakeholder consideration into its legal governing documents through B Corp's ‘Mission Lock', designed to protect commitments to its people, community and planet through future ownership changes.
Ronan Perceval, Phorest's CEO and founder, comments:
“Since Phorest was founded in 2004, our goal has been to build a business that genuinely supports the salon industry long after we are gone. Intent is one thing, but formalising it is another. By embedding this commitment directly into our legal structure, we ensure that our dedication to our clients, our team, and our planet cannot be quietly set aside when things get difficult or short-term industry pressures mount.”
