Software tipping function boosts earnings by 25%

Phorest Salon Software has reported more than £5.7 million has been generated in tips for salon employees since the introduction of its PhorestTips function seven months ago.

According to the brand, during this period tipping has boosted salon teams' earnings by an average of 25%, paid directly to staff across 591,717 transactions through PhorestTips.

The functionality enables salon clients to seamlessly add a tip to their payment via the PhorestPay Card Terminal, with the chosen team member receiving it instantly into their personal bank account, with 95% of associated fees covered by Phorest. Critically, PhorestTips is fully aligned with the UK's Allocation of Tips Act which mandates that 100% of tips go to employees, with employers unable to deduct fees or admin costs.

“It's about creating frictionless, transparent tipping. We know that clients appreciate an easy way to say thank you, and staff feel valued with full visibility of their tip history and instant access to funds.”
