Phorest launch recruitment support for sk:n employees
Salon software provider Phorest is using its networking power to support up to 800 beauty professionals in England and Scotland affected by the sudden closure of sk:n, one of the UK's largest networks of advanced skincare clinics.
All 70 sk:n clinics closed immediately last month when parent company, The SKN Group, which also owns The Harley Medical Group, Skinbrands, The Skin Experts and ABC Medical, went into liquidation.
Former sk:n employees looking for employment are being provided with
details of salons and clinics that are hiring, whilst businesses that are hiring can access an
online form to flag that there are available opportunities. In just one week, over 140 salons have shared details for job positions, with new opportunities posted daily.
Commenting, Luke Doolin, Phorest Country Manager for UK & Ireland (pictured left), says:
"At Phorest, we understand how stressful losing a job can be, especially in an industry that we live and breathe every day. We want to help alleviate the stress and connect beauty professionals affected by this closure with new job opportunities. We are creating a database of businesses in the industry who are hiring right now."
He adds:
"Great partners are there for each other in times of celebration, but even more importantly, they come through with support through hardships. We want to extend that to the people who make the industry we're in so special.”
