Medik8 launch highest level of daily sun protection

Cosmeceutical skincare brand, Medik8, has launched new Advanced Day Ultimate Protect, a complete sunscreen that protects skin from both UVA and UVB at a very high level.

Designed to be used 365 days a year, Medik8 Advanced Day Ultimate Protect is SPF 50+, blocking more than 98.3% of UVB rays, and has a measurement of PA++++ for blocking of UVA rays. PA+ is the global measurement of UVA protection, with PA++++ being the highest protection available.

It is formulated with premium chemical sun filters chosen for their photostability, high performance and skin benefits, including Tinosorb S, Uvinul T150 and Uvinul A Plus.

In addition, photolyase, a type of DNA repair enzyme derived from Plankton extract, rapidly repairs DNA defects caused by sun exposure. 

For even further protection, Blueberry seed oil, rich in beta-carotene, absorbs blue light from sun exposure as well as screens. Marrubium Vulgare extract combats pollution damage to the skin, whilst Carnosine inhibits the production of proteins which can break down collagen (MMPs) on exposure to Infrared, which makes up around 49% of the sun's rays.

Skin is nourished and further protected thanks to the inclusion of Squalane and hydrating multi-weight Hyaluronic acid.

Apply Medik8 Advanced Day Ultimate Protect liberally to the face, neck and décolletage, avoiding the eye area after cleansing in a morning. Reapply throughout the day as needed, and every two hours when in direct sunlight.
