Leicester College celebrates HE beauty course grant

Leicester College's Hair and Beauty, and Creative and Performing Arts departments have received £250,000 in funding to support the delivery of its Higher Education (HE) provision.

The funding follows successful bids for capital grants from the Office for Students (OfS), and will be used to purchase specialist equipment, upgrade three IT suites and invest in recording equipment for lectures, practical sessions and demonstrations.

Commenting on the successful funding bid, Kully Sandhu, Vice Principal – Adult and Higher Education at Leicester College, says:

“We are delighted to have secured this substantial funding from the Office for Students for our Higher Education courses. As a College, we continually look for ways to enhance the student experience and this funding will enable our Creative and Performing Arts department to offer an enhanced learning experience to HE students to ensure that they are work ready for the creative industries.”

Leicester College currently runs a number of beauty and hair courses ranging from Level 1 through to degree level including the Artistic Makeup and Special Effects Foundation Degree, and has its own beauty salons at their Freemen's Park Campus.
