Holistic therapist collaborates for cancer care
Complementary Therapist Gwyn Featonby is collaborating with the recently launched
Therapist Business Club to provide videos, blogs and expert articles to assist fellow holistic practitioners treating patients with cancer.
Gwyn (pictured) is a Tutor at the NHS-approved training centre within the
Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre, part of the NHS Trust Harrogate and District, which provides wellbeing services alongside high quality cancer treatments.
She has brought together a range of cancer therapy specialists from all areas of holistic and complementary treatments that are suitable for use alongside standard cancer care.
Liz Badger, Co-Founder of Therapist Business Club, says:
“The aim of this collaboration is to break down the myths and taboo about what, how and when these complementary treatments can be used to help cancer patients. According to Cancer Research UK, with as many as one in two of us affected, this sort of advice and additional options may prove invaluable.”
The online community now offers more than 30 short videos, blog posts, articles, interviews and a virtual tour of the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre, available free of charge to members of the public, private therapists, therapy students and NHS staff.
The
Therapist Business Club is a non-competitive, membership website sharing best practice, business expertise, support and therapy information to the wellness industry.
