Hairdressers raise £5,000 for Hair & Beauty Charity
Over £5,000 has been raised for the Hair & Beauty Charity as the industry gathered to launch of the Legends British Hairdressing.
The event took place at Electric Space, a shared workspace for independent hair stylists in London, run by Electric Hair's Mark Woolley.
Legends of British Hairdressing is a unique screen print featuring over 150 of the most influential people in the hair industry. A limited edition run of 150 signed and numbered prints along with 10 framed artists prints have been made available of which L'Oreal Professionnel Paris, Wella Professionals, Salons Direct, Kao Salon Division and Alan Howard have purchased at £900 each. In addition, a raffle raised £1,200.
Guests in attendance included Trevor Sorbie, Keith Harris, Sally Brooks, Lee Stafford, Anthony and Pat Mascolo, Angelo Seminara, Darren and Jackie Ambrose, Phil Smith, Karine Jackson and Akin Konizi.
Commenting on the fundraiser, Electric Hair's Mark Woolley says:
“It was fantastic to have so many inspirational people in one place, raising money for the
Hair & Beauty Charity and I want to thank everyone for coming and putting their hands in their pockets.”
