Award-winning hairdresser, educator and women's advocate Naomi Brooks has hosted a dedicated wellbeing and pamper event in Manchester, bringing together local professionals, volunteers and community members to support women affected by domestic abuse.

Delivered in collaboration with Soroptimist International Manchester, the initiative focused on self-care, confidence building and emotional wellbeing. Local businesses and volunteers contributed their time, services and products to create a safe, uplifting space for attendees.

Throughout the day, 12 women were welcomed to enjoy complimentary treatments, wellness activities, refreshments and meaningful conversation. The experience was designed to provide a restorative environment, while reinforcing a message of support and community connection.

Naomi Brooks said:

“This event was about creating a space where women could simply take a breath, feel looked after and reconnect with themselves. Small acts of kindness and care can make a huge difference, especially for those who have experienced trauma or difficult circumstances. I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring the day together.”

Soroptimist International Manchester, part of a global volunteer movement working to inspire action and transform lives, supported the event as part of its ongoing commitment to tackling violence against women and supporting vulnerable individuals.

Sophie Kennedy, President of Soroptimist International Manchester, added:

“We were proud to support Naomi Brooks in delivering such a thoughtful and impactful event. Creating opportunities for women to access care, connection and moments of wellbeing is incredibly important, particularly for those rebuilding confidence after experiencing domestic abuse.
