Government revises guidelines for salon openings
The UK government has updated its
‘Keeping workers and clients safe during COVID-19 in close contact services' document to support beauty and hair businesses as they reopen.
The publication is available free of charge to download in pdf format from the UK government website and covers all guidelines that the government says must be implemented to ensure safe operation of close contact services – which include beauty, spa, tanning, hair, barbering, tattooing and complementary therapies – and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The guide was updated on 9th July in line with the government's announcement that beauty businesses in England may reopen with restrictions from 13th July.
