Dr. PawPaw founder wins business award
Dr. PawPaw co-founder, Pauline Paterson, has been named Aphrodite winner at the 19th annual NatWest everywoman Awards, which celebrates the UK's most inspiring female entrepreneurs.
The Aphrodite award is sponsored by the Daily Mail and specifically recognises a woman who founded her business whilst raising a child/children aged 12 or under.
Pauline created the Dr. PawPaw range after her daughter was diagnosed with eczema. She tried myriad products to help soothe the effects, but the only one that worked was a Papaya fruit based balm that she had used growing up in Australia, however that brand wasn't available to export to the UK.
Therefore, Pauline created her own multi-purpose Papaya balm range, Dr.PawPaw, learning to run a business on instinct. The range now includes over 30 products including balms, hair and body care, and eight years since launch, the company turns over £5 million.
