Dermalogica give 5,000 skin kits to frontline NHS
Dermalogica UK are donating 5,000 of their Skin Soothing Kits to NHS employees working on the frontline combating Covid-19.
The skin care giant has been working on a number of initiatives to support key charities and get products to NHS staff. The first 5,000 kits have been donated to WE C U, a newly formed charity created to get products into the hands of those on the frontline.
Dermalogica UK aim to secure more product in the coming weeks, and are in talks with other key charities about how they can support more NHS and HSE workers.
In addition, Dermaologica's parent company, Unilever, has committed to contributing €100 million worth of soap sanitiser, bleach and food to support the emergency response globally, including adapting their manufacturing to make sanitiser for hospitals. Unilever CEO, Alan Jope, says:
“We hope that our donation of €100m of soap, sanitiser, bleach and food will make a significant contribution towards protecting people's lives, and that by helping to safeguard our workers' incomes and jobs, we are giving some peace of mind during these uncertain time
