Cyclists raise £9,000 for The Hairdressers' Charity
Members of the hairdressing sector have raised £9,000 for needy members of their industry on a recent charity bike ride.
Organised by The Hairdressers' Charity, the cycling challenge took place in Lugar do Montinho, Monchique in Portugal. Twenty one riders participated including Philip Sharp, co-President of The Hairdressers' Charity along with representatives from Goldwell, L'Oreal Professional and independent brands.
Top fundraiser was Karine Jackson of Karine Jackson Hair & Beauty who raised a massive £1,400 for the charity.
Victor Pajak, of The Hairdressers' Charity, organised the event, and commented:
“The bike ride is a good way to raise awareness of the charity's needs whilst meeting new friends in the industry. The money raised really does make a difference to those who need it most.”
