Coronavirus leads to exhibition postponements
Leading UK beauty trade shows, Professional Beauty, Beauty UK and Scottish Hair & Beauty, have all been hit by the Coronavirus, leading to their postponement.
Announcements were made yesterday by organisers, based on the current spread of COVID-19 across the globe.
In a release to attendees, Professional Beauty London organiser, Mark Maloney, said that the health and well-being of the community was their upmost priority, commenting:
“It is with regret that we announce the postponement of Professional Beauty London 2020. With rising cases of the Coronavirus throughout the UK and with the show being very much an international event, as organisers we have a duty of care to our visitors, exhibitors, employees and contracted staff.”
Professional Beauty London 2020 will now take place on 11th and 12th October at ExCeL London, alongside their flagship hair exhibition, Salon International.
Via their Facebook page, Beauty UK organiser, Guild Press Ltd, made the following statement regarding their NEC show planned for May:
“Due to the current and unprecedented status of the COVID-19 virus situation, Guild Press Ltd has taken the decision to postpone the Beauty UK Show in order to best protect visitors, exhibitors and staff. We are awaiting final confirmation of new dates and will confirm these as soon as possible. Thank you for your support and understanding.”
The company has also taken the decision to postpone its annual Glasgow exhibition, Scottish Hair & Beauty, due to take place in April with new dates announced as Sunday 20th and Monday 21st September.
