Disco theme for Irish national nail comp
Calling all nail techs! The annual Irish National Nail Tournament takes place next month in Dublin, and registration for places is now open.
Taking place on Sunday 4th March as part of the Irish Beauty Show, the tournament offers you an opportunity to put your skills to the test against Ireland's leading salon nail techs with a chance to be crowned Irish National Nail Tech 2018. Competitors from as far away as the Netherlands and Croatia have registered in previous years – so this is a real opportunity to put your skills to the test!
This year's nail art theme is ‘Disco', so if you're into your glitz and shine, then let your imagination run wild! Remember there are also Photographic and Boxed Nail Art categories too, which are completed before the event.
Past winners and competitors will all testify to the benefits of entering this prestigious competition. Not only will you have the opportunity to showcase your skills alongside other nail techs from across the country and often the world, the judges' feedback also gives you some great pointers on how you can improve your work in the salon, as well as when entering future events. Plus, it's genuinely inspiring to compete alongside other passionate nail techs and see their techniques and work.
Denise Wright, competition director, explains the benefits of competing:
“If you think of any nail tech who has excelled and made a name in this business, it is from competing. Your clients will enjoy your journey and get caught up in the excitement and preparation for the competition. It is a good talking point and a newsworthy item for your local paper. You can move on to become an educator for product companies or local colleges.”
