Longer hair & grooming top males' resolutions

Two weeks into 2019 and how are your New Year's Resolutions going? You may have slipped off the wagon, but according to The Bluebeard's Revenge, almost three-quarters (73%) of men have made grooming resolutions this year.

Research of 2,018 men carried out by the barber-grade grooming brand showed that 67% are vowing to step up their self-care regime to improve their chances of finding a new partner or impressing a current one. Nearly half (48%) are fixed on finding a fresh new hairstyle, with 60% of these stating their new look would be medium to medium-long length.

“Longer hairstyles are now associated with ‘rebellious cool' and are the results of celebrity influences,” says Bradley Wicks, Head of Content and Social Media at The Bluebeards Revenge. “Great examples include the long locks of Jason Momoa in Aquaman, the disconnected lengths of Chris Hemsworth's hair and the always-trendy styles of David Beckham.”

The survey also showed that 33% of men are planning to embrace rugged designer stubble or fully-fledged beards this year, continuing the trend that has seen the shaving market decrease in recent years.
